Open curriculum

An open maths map for Classes 1–8

Every student on Takhtee gets practice from a topic map of school maths, Class 1 through Class 8. The map is open. You can read it, use it, and tell us where a skill is wrong.

Please read this before you teach from it

This map is AI-drafted. Teachers are still reviewing it. It is not an official NCERT publication, and it is not a copy of the textbook. Don’t hand it to a parent as if NCERT published it.

The topics for each class live in the repository. We don’t copy them onto this page, so the site and the repo can’t drift apart.

What a skill map is

A skill, not a chapter scan

Each entry is something a child can learn and show, with the class it belongs to.

What comes before

Skills point at the skills they depend on, so practice doesn’t skip a step.

Open on purpose

The map is public. A correction in the repo can reach every institute using it.

Credit and licences

The Takhtee map for NCERT maths is derived from the Marble Skill Taxonomy (v1), © Generative Spark, Inc. (Marble), https://withmarble.com.

Marble licenses the database (the structure, ids, and relationships) under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0, and the text Marble wrote under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA).

Share-alike means a public copy of the map, or a database built from it, stays under those same terms, with credit. Using the map inside your institute does not make you open-source your own notes.
